Use a multimeter to test the extent switch for continuity. Set your multimeter to the bottom setting for ohms of resistance and test each of the three possible pairs of terminals by touching one of many probes on the meter to a switch terminal whilst you touch the other probe to on off touch switch 555 a unique terminal.
